In this post, EFL Collective shares a new economical worksheet you can use to teach vocabulary related to sustainable development challenges and goals. It is mainly devised for pre-intermediate classes.
You can kick off the lesson by brainstorming what your students already know about the topic, then have them read the website entry above to do tasks (a-c)
The tasks a-c key:
a. Sustainable development (SD) refers to living in a way that meets the needs of the present without risking the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
b. economic growth; environmental stewardship; social inclusion; poverty reduction; peace and justice; health care; innovation; climate change
c. deplete
Later on, the students use words and collocations from task b in exercise 1 to name pictures, and then guess the remaining ones.
